3 and Sony Ericsson bring YouTube feature to mobile

Sony Ericsson has announced the W595 Walkman phone with YouTube application, exclusive to 3.

The application enables users to make videos and upload them to YouTube without the need for a PC.

The Sony Ericsson W595 Walkman phone has a media center that allows users to store over 1900 tunes in the 2GB Memory Stick Micro M2.


The device has two built in stereo speakers, and users can match playlists with their mood using Sony Ericsson’s ‘SensMe’ application. The W595 also has Shake Control, with allows users to change tracks or volume with a flick of the wrist, and offers a 3.2 mp camera.

3’s deal follows similar deals like Vodafone’s recent partnership with YouTube and Myspace. Also in July this year YouTube partnered with LG to enable users to view and upload videos online.

The handset will be available from £17 a month with 300 minutes and texts on 3’s Mix & Match 300 tariff and for £129.99 on Pay as You Go.

It comes with gesture control enabling the user to control the phone's settings with motion.The handset is the latest addition to the comprehensive range of walkman handsets from Sony Ericcson and comes preloaded with Sugarbabe’s song ‘Girls’.
